Since inception, POPs has produced over 200 shows as well as classes and workshops. Its core programs are musical theater for Rising Stars (ages 12 – 18) and MiniPOPs (ages 7 – 12). Each division performs its own shows resulting in 20 to 30 performances per year. During the last few years, POPs has added plays, master classes, audition workshops, movie making, Shakespeare in the park, special programming and our Tech Artisans program, one of the only technical theatre training programs in Southern California for youth. Special programs include POPs with the Pros, where students performed with Broadway professionals at the LA Grammy Museum, and 24-hour Musical, where youth create all aspects of a show in 24 hours themselves. Our GRAACE Arts program, gives children with special needs the opportunity to be in a musical alongside our POPS students. GRAACE Arts fulfills a much needed void of bringing quality arts training to children with special needs alongside typically developing youth.
