With support from the California Arts Council, Pulse Arts will establish new programs in Sonoma, Sacramento, Placer and Los Angeles counties. Funding will allow the organization to launch The Arts Mentor Program and the Emerging Arts Leaders Initiative. It will also support strategic planning around organizational impact and sustainability.
Pulse Arts supports the creative vision of professional artists by developing educational tools and resources that will encourage multigenerational, multicultural, and multidisciplinary artistic collaborations, mentorships, and youth intern opportunities. We support arts professionals interested in becoming mentors, teachers and teaching artists. We facilitate workshops, trainings, and conferences to increase access to free professional learning opportunities for arts professionals and educators. Pulse coordinates collaborative public arts projects with an emphasis on social and environmental justice and hosts master classes and assemblies with arts professionals for grades TK-12. Additionally, Pulse Arts supports professional performance companies in the development of education resources and curriculum that help build organizational capacity to provide quality youth programming to public schools and communities.
