With support from the California Arts Council, KCETLink will produce the 10th season of Artbound, KCET’s multi-platform program scanning California’s cultural landscape for stories about emerging and under-publicized artists, arts groups, and the impact of the arts across our state. The season includes 6 one-hour episodes and multiple on-line articles. With Artbound, KCET has become the cultural storyteller advancing the public’s perception of art and culture locally, regionally and statewide.
KCETLINK merged with PBS SoCal on October 1, 2018. Our new institution, Public Media Group of Southern California creates a stronger public media organization to support content creation and advance innovation as we lead the effort to build to a new public media vision and operating model for the digital age. Moving forward, KCET, Link TV and PBS SoCal will each maintain distinct brands and identity as we work to advance our shared mission.
KCET’s focus continues to be on creating high-quality, original productions that further to engage audiences and create community impact. Through community events, partnerships with community organizations and cultural institutions, and award-winning, multi-media programs like Artbound, Lost LA, So Cal Connected, Tending Nature, The Migrant Kitchen and City Rising, we bring visibility to issues and people important to the communities throughout California.
Through three content channels – KCET, PBS SoCal and Link TV – our multi-platform content is available for streaming on any internet-connected screen, multiple broadcast channels, and two national satellite channels. We strive to deliver social impact through an Early Learning program that prepares our most vulnerable children for school.
