Positive Action Community Theatre (PACT)’s mission is to empower individuals with unique needs and create community through the performing arts. PACT’s purpose is to improve the wellbeing of children, teens, and young adults with autism by providing this often isolated population with access to a supportive community, and with performing arts training that teaches the social and communication skills that will enable them to participate more fully in society and reach their personal and professional goals.
PACT fosters equity in the workforce by hiring and training people with autism, and encourages equity in its workshops by recruiting volunteers to serve as peer mentors while they participate as equals in the group activities. PACT promotes the message of respect for all people by sharing its traveling theatre troupe’s anti-bullying theatre events with children and teens out in the community.
