With support from CAC, Pony Box Dance Theatre and Center for Empowerment of Families will provide “The Dance for Healing Project”, therapeutic dance and mentorship classes, at the Downtown Women’s Center, the only homeless shelter in Downtown Los Angeles for women. Award winning Choreographer and Childhood Abuse Survivor Jamie Carbetta will lead “my/story” dance workshops, which empower victims to reframe traumatic events through movement.
