Piano Spheres supports and encourages the composition, performance, and video production of major new works for the piano as well as rarely heard treasures from centuries past. It expands the piano repertoire by commissioning new music and sustaining a concert series of the highest artistic quality which focuses primarily on pieces by living American composers. Piano Spheres’ artists also mentor the next generation of concert pianists through their Emerging Artists Series with public performances and workshops featuring young artists and commissioned composers. Piano Spheres increases their outreach to underserved audiences through their Summer Jazz Series, and the new Leonard Stein Artist Residency for Underrepresented Groups.
