In its thirteen years as the predominant arts institution of southwestern Sonoma County, the Petaluma Arts Center has evolved from a venue focused on high quality art exhibitions and events to an arts advocacy organization that builds on community resources to expand our creative capacity. As a result, PAC has become
more relevant and integrated into the community it serves. Our goal is to strengthen the cohesiveness and legitimacy of our community through inclusive collaborations with artists and residents that strengthen the local economy. We set to accomplish this by engaging in thought-provoking exhibits and, most recently, by curating “outside of the gallery” experiential projects that take art into the homes, local businesses and front yards of our community members.
