Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, PASACAT Inc. will provide Philippine dance and music programs in the North County Region of San Diego and senior citizens. This will be in addition to our current year-round programming at the PASACAT Center in National City which serves the South County. Students perform in three major PASACAT productions: The Annual Junior PASACAT Concert, the Annual Parol Lantern Festival and the biennial Extravaganza Concert of Philippine dance.
Organization Summary
PASACAT offers year round programming in Philippine dance and seasonally offers music workshops in Rondalla. Classes are offered at the PASACAT Center and prepares some sixty students and performers for PASACAT’s three productions and outreach performances. Annual productions are the Junior PASACAT Dance Concert, the Parol Lantern Festival and the bi-annual Extravaganza of Philippine Dance.
