With support from the California Arts Council, Palo Alto Players will engage Consultant Alyssa Byrkit to prepare for its first strategic plan. The planning process will include pre-planning sessions with the designated committee; a full-day board and staff planning retreat; and initial follow-up committee work to determine next steps. The development of a strategic plan will clarify the company’s vision, crystallize organizational goals, and unify stakeholders around a cohesive action plan.
Palo Alto Players has been continuously providing quality performing arts programming in Palo Alto since 1931. Based at the Lucie Stern Theater, built for the Players in 1933, Palo Alto Players presents a diverse season of five mainstage plays and musicals featuring all local, community talent. The five mainstage productions, each running 11 performances over three weeks, cover a wide spectrum of themes and styles, including contemporary works, musicals, and classic plays. Audiences and participants come from all over the Bay Area to be a part of Palo Alto Players productions. Palo Alto Players’s productions are supplemented by activities that enhance audience engagement, increase access, and promote community outreach.
