One Institute produces dozens of high-quality, low cost education, arts, and cultural public programs highlighting HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ+ histories. Our three primary programming locations are STORIES: The AIDS Monument in West Hollywood, One Gallery in West Hollywood, ONE Archives at USC Libraries in South Los Angeles, in addition to venues across LA County at peer institutions and other arts programming hubs.

Our flagship programs include:
– Circa: Queer Histories Festival: the country’s only LGBTQ+ History Month festival
– STORIES: The AIDS Monument to Remember, Celebrate, and Educate about the history of the AIDS pandemic
– LGBTQ+ Archival Exhibitions in partnership with ONE Archives at USC Libraries
– Youth Ambassadors for Queer History: Leadership program for high school students to connect with LGBTQ+ history
– K-12 Teachers Symposium: Week-long symposium that supports LAUSD teachers to develop inclusive LGBTQ+ history/social studies lesson plans aligned with California standards;

-“Herb Ritts: Allies & Icons” (November-December 2025) Featuring striking black & white portraits of the cultural figures who stood at the forefront of AIDS activism
– “The Sky is Always Falling: HIV/AIDS Activists Unleashing Power in Los Angeles Then and Now” (September-October 2025) highlights five key ACT UP/LA actions during the critical period of 1988-1993
– “It’s Where I Belong: 40 Years (and More) of Drag in West Hollywood” (May-June 2025), exhibition on local drag history featuring materials from the ONE Archives and community contributions to spotlight this uniquely queer art form
– “YouSpeak Radio” (August 2023 & 2024): Podcast exploring intergenerational conversations between LGBTQ+ youth and elder change-makers.
– “Together On the Air” (December 2022-March 2023), exhibition on Radio GLLU, the first bilingual LGBTQ+ radio program in the US. Web exhibit and pop-up installation with live radio recording
– “Days of Rage” (April 2022), award-winning web exhibit showcasing 30+ activist posters and 5 in-depth storytelling videos from community experts
