With support from the California Arts Council, NTC FOUNDATION will produce Summer Arts Fest 2026, a free, three-event series on the second Saturday of July, August, and September at Arts District Liberty Station in San Diego. This day-long festival will feature performances, exhibitions, art markets, culinary experiences, and participatory workshops led by professional artists, cultural organizations, and community partners. CAC funds will support artist fees, production costs, marketing, accessibility services, and community engagement to ensure inclusive participation across diverse audiences. Activating our historic campus and 100+ resident arts tenants, the Fest will be a signature public event during our first year as a California Cultural District. Widely marketed citywide, it showcases artistic excellence, strengthens San Diego’s cultural identity, and creates meaningful economic and creative opportunities for local artists.
Programs to achieve objectives: 1) RENT SUBSIDY PROGRAM for nonprofit arts groups to assure their long-term stability in the ARTS DISTRICT; 2) LIBERTY SCHOOL Arts Education Program helps underserved students develop academic skills through the arts and improve their ability to succeed; 3) ARTS COLLABORATIVES provides funds to encourage collaboration among artists and arts groups to create programs that engage the public in the work they do; (4) Art in Public Places
