Nimbus Arts produces over 600 classes, camps, and workshops annually, serving participants ranging from toddlers to seniors. Our diverse programming and participant demographics reflect our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. Nimbus Arts is dedicated to building community and promoting wellness through artmaking. Our programs encourage engagement and connection, emphasizing the lasting health and wellness benefits gained through creative expression.

Our “Hundreds of Hands” community art initiative, now in its 18th project, exemplifies our approach. The “Mosaic Stone Stacking” program emphasizes balance and stability, mirroring emotional health and wellbeing. Nimbus Arts is collaborating with Mentis, Napa County’s leading mental health resource, and their youth wellness program, Teens Connect. Nimbus artists and Teens Connect members are working with teens, adults, and families from throughout our community to create large-scale mosaic stone forms. These mosaic-adorned cairns, some up to ten feet high, will be assembled into public art installations in the City of Napa, inviting interactive play and moments of peaceful reflection through natural stone stacking. This project is significantly supported by the Bay Area Creative Corps, the San Francisco Foundation, the California Arts Council, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and the County of Napa.

Nimbus Arts works to deliver the power of art to everyone, especially those with great need and limited access. A key example is our program for at-promise teens in Napa County. Nimbus works with Court & Community Schools and incarcerated students at Napa Juvenile Hall, providing fine and industrial art instruction that improves learning and communication, promotes self-expression, and can serve as a foundation for a career in art. Our Nim+BUS, the mobile art studio, further extends our reach, bringing art activities directly to various locations across Napa County, including schools, parks, and community events.
