With support from the California Arts Council NEW APOLLO YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA INC will engage a nonprofit consultant to help the organization draft policies and a strategic operations and program roadmap, will invest in critical administrative support, and will invest in accelerating its fundraising, grant writing, and communications efforts.
Our current core programming is equity and inclusion focused and serves youth in grades 4 through 12 with out-of-school music training and consists of:
_Junior Strings Ensemble
_Senior Strings Ensemble
_Concert Band Ensemble
_Symphony Orchestra
NAYSO also operates BMuZ, an annual one-week intensive orchestra/band summer music camp (enrolling ~225 students, grades 5-9).
New Apollo Youth Symphony Orchestra provides scholarships to students in need for the youth orchestra, summer camp, or private lessons in music, and has a no-audition policy and a need-based free instrument loan program.
