With support from the California Arts Council, Lux Art Institute will contract Sonnenberg & Company, CPAs, APC to perform an Independent Audit Report on Lux’s year ending December 2020 financials. This assessment and outcome-oriented financial review will help the organization to implement sustainable practices for future growth and mission-oriented programming.
Through our international Artist-in-Residency, Lux has hosted over 60 artists, including two MacArthur Fellows, in its award winning LEED-certified Artist Pavilion. The program hosts five one-month residencies annually, focusing on a single artist at a time. Additionally, Lux’s Linda Formo Brandes Gallery exhibits regional artists. Lux’s Education Pavilion delivers contemporary art camps, classes, tours, and workshops for all ages, and a robust outreach program serving local schools, including students of military families and Title I schools. A new partnership with San Diego Art Institute allows Lux to expand our offerings with a new residency for local artists. Finally, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic Lux launched our digital platform, Art Access, to bring our art, artists, and education programs to a broader audience.
