The Mission of the Lula Washington Contemporary Dance Foundation is to provide a creative outlet for dance as an innovative reflection of African American culture; and to motivate, educate, inspire, challenge and enrich the lives of dance artists, youth and neighborhoods through a professional touring dance company, a youth dance ensemble and a community-based dance center and school.
