Project Description
With the support of CAC, Lenora Lee Dance will implement its Expanding Impact Initiative amplifying voices of Asian Americans through in person performance, virtual programming, film, mentorship, and training. Funds will be used to support the core team to realize our work.
Organization Summary
Lenora Lee Dance has served over 175,000 through: 1) An annual performance season featuring world premieres of its work. 2) Local performances. 3) Touring. 4) Civic engagement programs – workshops, residencies, lectures, panels. 5) Museum and Gallery installations. 6) Films.
It integrates contemporary dance, film, music, text, and research, and weaves together multiple artistic disciplines. It strives to generate artistic work that engages deeply the connections between individuals, community and collective memory, through creative processes, research, and public involvement.
