Project Description
move forward with our two primary annual events, April’s Lao New Year Celebration and the November Lao Boat Racing Festival. Funds will supplement the projected loss of donations resulting from the economic impact of COVID-19.
Organization Summary
Each year, LCCC-SD involves the San Diego community in two main projects: Lao New Year in April and Lao Boat Racing Festival in September. Each of these projects includes traditional Lao art, music, dance from within traditional and modern Buddhist roots. LCCC-SD is an all voluntary organization with no paid employees. In addition to our two main projects the LCCC-SD engages with the community by providing scholarships and training in the Lao traditional arts. Our website is frequently updated with social service and employment opportunity information and serves as a bridge to communication for all interested parties.
