The mission of the LA Promise Fund (LAPF) is to improve academic achievement as well as college and career access and success for students in the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Academy, SLATE-Z and beyond. LAPF’s core programs provide robust, enriching opportunities for educators, parents, and students to build their capacity and skills to create positive change at home, at school, and in their community. Nearly all students served through these programs and at the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Academy are African American (29%) and Latinx (70%); most are low-income.
