With Support from the California Arts Council La Peña Cultural Center will offer a one-week bilingual Summer Camp celebrating Latin & Caribbean culture with youth ages 7-11. The program will be taught by 3 teaching artists specializing in different disciplines. Julianna Mendonca will instruct the children in the art of dance and expression. Hector Lugo will teach them drumming and songs from the Caribbean. Ernesto Olmos will create musical instruments with them and share Oaxacan folk tales.
