Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, KOREAN CULTURE CENTER – URISAWE INC will teach and train Korean traditional dance and music to anyone in all ages in San Francisco Bay Area. They will practice and develop creative movements and dance and music skills as they rooted in Korean Culture. They will perform at multiple events including free performances at senior center, parks and various community events in San Francisco Bay Area.

Organization Summary

The organization is presently in operation, providing dance and music performing arts to various communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We have  members and students learning and performing Korean cultural dance and music. They actively perform Korean cultural dance and music at various events for the general public every year.  The organization has its annual performances by the members and professional artists, designated as a cultural heritage, to share Korean performing arts and bring the Korean-American community together.  The organization also receives requests from local schools to teach and perform Korean dance and music at their cultural/international day.
