With support from the California Arts Council, the Imaginists will continue to provide arts experiences and education to a diverse, intergenerational community, offering bilingual (Spanish and English) performances and classes, community-based projects, education programs, paid internships, and residencies to emerging artists, focusing on BIPOC youth.
Our programming includes: the creation of new contemporary works in collaboration with Bay Area artists and community members, bilingual (Spanish and English) classes and performances, theater residencies in Title 1 public schools, after-school and summer youth workshops, paid internships and residencies for transitional youth (ages 18-25), and community-based and site-specific projects in collaboration with local community organizations.
