With the support of the California Arts Council, Kings Cultural Center will build upon last year’s efforts to foster an ongoing engagement through Fiesta in the Park in rural communities in Fresno and Kings Counties. The free classes offered in Armona, Huron, Corcoran, Stratford and Lemoore will culminate with a Fiesta that will showcase their efforts and include other dance and mariachi performances. Participants will be offered dance scholarships for a full dance season at no cost.
We serve a vast number of rural communities such as Corcoran, Huron, Kettleman City, Tulare, Armona, Lemoore, Five Points, Laton, Hanford, Selma and Visalia covering three counties (Tulare, Kings and Fresno). Our center is unique because of the progressive expansions of local programs at low to free of charge. Programs such as Zumba, Fiddle Bluegrass, Hawaiian dance, instrumental classes in guitar, violin, trumpet, Mariachi and Folklorico. Our board and staff are passionate about providing affordable classes to have children to adults in a safe place to learn and appreciate music and dance. The programming is geared towards incorporating culturally competent instructors to provide music and dance lessons to new and establish students and develop an appreciation of the art with the goal of making our community more vibrant.
