With support from the California Arts Council, Kadima Conservatory of Music will conduct a 30-week residency to provide free after-school standards-based string, wind and brass instruction to students in grades 2-5, as well as a 5-week Summer Music Seminar experience to foster program continuity for participating students. This work is one component of our partnership with Vaughn Next Century Learning Center, a public school in the underserved San Fernando Valley.
The Conservatory was founded to promote the appreciation, performance and instruction of classical music. Kadima maintains the following core programs:
• Ongoing individual, orchestral and small ensemble instruction to students of all ages and levels
• Free community, senior residence, and school concerts performed by the conservatory’s student orchestras, the Kadima String Quartet, and other faculty members.
• Classroom instruction and demonstrations, music education outreach in public schools and colleges.
