Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Jazzantiqua Inc will further develop and expand its jazz legacy community engagement practices by:
* providing a stipend for the new p/t position of Community Outreach Coordinator
* providing stipends for two company members that have, and will continue to, lead youth activities
* providing a stipend for Artist Director’s community engagement work
* developing new promotional materials reflecting further developed focus, new activities and projects
Organization Summary
Jazzantiqua’s core programs and services include: performances, community dance classes, professional dance training and master classes, lecture-demonstrations, panel discussions, jazz music and dance improvisation workshops, community dialogues, apprenticeships and internships, mini-conferences, K-12 school programs and college presentations.
