Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council the Jazz Angels will maintain operations, retain staff/contractors, and continue to provide our innovative, unique music education programs that bring joy and instill a sense of self-empowerment to children residing in underserved areas who are suffering unfathomable stress related to COVID-19 restrictions.
Organization Summary
The mission of Jazz Angels is to create an environment for young musicians to play and help preserve jazz, to build self-esteem, confidence and leadership skills, to promote community involvement and jazz, and to create engaging in-school and after-school programs that develops the “whole child” and lessens the social and mental stresses that continue to plague the young people we serve.
