With the support of the California Arts Council, Jamestown Community Center will provide artistic residencies during its afterschool program at (5) public schools and (2) community sites through our Loco Bloco Education Program in Afro-Latino drumming, dance, stilt-walking, and performance for grades K-12. Based in Creative Youth Development and Artivist frameworks, these programs focus on empowering youth to use art to overcome discrimination and create positive change.
Our programs include tutoring, before and after school academic enrichment, summer programs, social/emotional support, sports, youth workforce, parent leadership development and organizing, and arts education.
