CripTech Incubator is an art-and-technology fellowship centered on disability innovation. Encompassing residencies, rapid-prototyping workshops, presentations, publication and education, this innovation incubator creates a platform for artists with disabilities to engage and remake creative technologies through the lens of accessibility.
PUBLICATIONS
Leonardo serves as a critical content provider through our publications, which include scholarly journals (Leonardo and Leonardo Music Journal) and books (Leonardo Book Series) published by the MIT Press. In addition to our signature publications, we support open access and experimental media through stand-alone partnerships and bilingual collaborations, publication bridges for higher education (Leonardo Abstracts Service), critical response (Leonardo Electronic Almanac, PubPub and Leonardo blog) and emerging media in development with ASU and MIT Press.
PROGRAMS
Through our creative community, we take ideas full cycle, by connecting Californian and global communities through art, science and technology initiatives. These range from workshops, creative investment platforms, artist residencies (that have supported up to 13 artists in Northern California), artist research, exhibitions, convening/symposia, and our popular LASER Talks Salon series hosted in over 45 cities worldwide including 8 in California.
