Project Description

The mission of the Inland Empire Community Foundation is strengthening the Inland Empire through philanthropy. We achieve this by: 1) Raising assets: We partner with exemplary individuals, families, agencies, corporations and other entities who care passionately about improving the IE community and create permanent charitable funds; 2) Stewarding assets: We invest and administer charitable assets based on a set of rigorous national standards; 3) Distributing assets: We provide grants to nonprofit organizations that are doing critical work in health and human services, youth and families, arts and culture, education, civic engagement and environment; 4) Community leadership – We serve as a convener by bringing together key stakeholders to determine community needs. We facilitate the development of collaborative solutions to important community issues and we act as a catalyst for positive change. Our values encompass Integrity, Inclusion, Excellence, Collaboration, and Knowledge. Established in 1941 as a trust to provide scholarships and grants to students in Riverside, IECF is staffed by 16 FTEs and manages assets of just over $120 million and more than 400 funds.
