Our mission at Independent Project Press is to offer a rich and diverse cultural experience to enliven and foster community in this remote rural area in the Eastern Sierra. We seek to contribute to the expression of the artistic potential of our community. Our mission is to encourage artistic awareness, participation and innovative self-expression. Our letterpress print shop serves as a working letterpress printing and graphic design studio which is open for business, classes & workshops, and tours. Our Project Room gallery provides a space for artists to exhibit, learn and create, and also serves as a place for the public to gather and contemplate artistic works and installations. For our rural town we provide unique art classes, workshops and creative educational opportunities.
