With the support of the California Arts Council, Grand Arts Consortium will present the Grand Feature Film Orchestra. It’s an ensemble designed to educate youth in composing film music, designing and building effects devices, and performing the completed film scores with sound effects before a live audience synchronized to movies.
IAM’s fiscal sponsorship program includes managing dispersal of restricted funds, maintaining financial records, overseeing compliance with funder requirements, and ensuring overall legal and tax compliance. For Model A (comprehensive fiscal sponsorship) projects, we oversee bill pay and vendor management, insurance, and tax filings. For Model A’s with employees, we provide human resources, workmens comp, and payroll management. IAM also offers program support, such as access to an online Member Center with fundraising and strategic planning resources, and a “Coaching & Consulting” program that connects projects to nonprofit professionals at IAM’s expense.
Further, IAM offers free and low cost professional development workshops to the Bay Area arts community, which have included grant writing and donor cultivation clinics, Taxes for Individual Creatives, Impact Storytelling, Basic Finance & Budgeting, Nonprofit Lobbying & Advocacy, and Copyright Basics for Artists/Musicians.
