With support from the California Arts Council, Huntington Beach Municipal Art Center Foundation will assist its Arts Development Coordinator, Kay Linan, with her professional growth through tuition assistance for UC Irvine’s Arts Management Certificate. Offered by UCI’s School of Business and School of the Arts, the program will allow Kay to learn from experts in the field, and assist in positioning her, and in turn the HB Art Center, as a leader in the non-profit arts community of California.
Annually, over 25,000 guests attend the Huntington Beach Art Center (HBAC) for arts, culture, and community engagement. We accomplish this through extensive outreach, educational programming, and activities, in addition to our exhibitions. Studio classes provide a creative outlet for students of all ages in subjects such as drawing, painting, ceramics, cartooning, digital photography, Polynesian dance, Tai Chi, yoga, and guitar. Our annual schedule includes six exhibitions—3 contemporary and 3 community shows—and special events for families and adults. HBAC presents the works of artists producing in all mediums.
HBAC acts pursuant to a spirit of inclusion, striving to advance the benefits of the arts and of community engagement to all persons. HBAC works to increase arts participation and engagement for community members of all ages and abilities.
