Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Homes 4 Families will augment the free trauma-informed art programs that we currently offer to veterans and military family members with technical art instruction. This added skill-building component will support our current program goals, which include: empower participants to express feelings through creativity, reduce suicide through the connectedness model, and ultimately improve the emotional and mental health of military family members.
Organization Summary
We specialize in building Veteran Enriched Neighborhoods, the outcome-proven model that provides servicemen, servicewomen and their families with affordable homeownership coupled with comprehensive wraparound services that equip them to succeed in civilian life, including financial education, therapeutic trauma-informed workshops, services for military children, and veteran-to-veteran support.
