Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Homes 4 Families will continue to develop and conduct trauma-informed art workshops to help veterans, military spouses, and their families face, overcome, and manage the struggles that come with the military experience. We will also engage and educate the greater community on the often stigmatized veteran-specific invisible wounds of war such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Military Sexual Trauma.
Organization Summary
We specialize in building Veteran Enriched Neighborhoods, the outcome-proven model that provides servicemen, servicewomen and their families with affordable homeownership coupled with comprehensive wraparound services that equip them to succeed in civilian life, including financial education, therapeutic trauma-informed workshops, services for military children, and veteran-to-veteran support.
