Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, Hollywood HEART will hire professional, experienced, California based Teaching Artists for our one-week summer arts program. Camp Hollywood HEART provides arts education workshops in a variety of disciplines to under-served youth, ages 15 – 20, impacted by HIV/AIDS. Requested funding will go toward the Teaching Artist salaries, administrative fees associated with their services, and the supplies needed for their arts workshops.

Organization Summary

Hollywood HEART offers an intensive, educational, and inspirational artistic experience for young people from underserved communities through summer camp programming and year-round workshops in Visual Arts, Music, Filmmaking, Theater Arts, and Creative Writing.

Our Educational Arts Workshops are led by talented local arts professionals and provide under-served youth with hands-on training at both summer camping sessions and in after-school formats. Using dynamic experiences that engage youth in the creative process in a unique and experiential way, our programming offers young people a chance to discover their own artistic voices.
