Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Hollywood HEART will provide Educational Arts Workshops (EAW’s) to middle school students at Eliot Arts Magnet Academy (EAMA) in Altadena, CA. Our proposed project will provide 4 Teaching Artists to work with 6 single subject teachers over the course of 8 weeks.
Organization Summary
Hollywood HEART offers an intensive, educational, and inspirational artistic experience for young people from underserved communities through summer camp programming and year-round workshops in Visual Arts, Music, Filmmaking, Theater Arts, and Creative Writing.
Our Educational Arts Workshops are led by talented local arts professionals and provide under-served youth with hands-on training at both summer camping sessions and in after-school formats. Using dynamic experiences that engage youth in the creative process in a unique and experiential way, our programming offers young people a chance to discover their own artistic voices.
