With the support from the California Arts Council, the Fresno Arts Council, and lead artist, Mauro Carrera will transform 7 crosswalks into 7 public art installations by adding painted embellishments between the designated pedestrian traffic lines. Designs of each crosswalk will be created and applied in collaboration with the surrounding residents. Paint used on this project will be pavement specific thermo-plastic to enhance visibility to on-coming traffic and ensure pedestrians a safe route.
