With support from the California Arts Council, Fathers & Families of San Joaquin will work with playwright and performer Paul S. Flores to lead community building and arts engagement activities for the Stockton premiere of Pilgrim Street, a new theater project written by Flores. Based on testimonies from systems impacted immigrants and youth of color in California, Pilgrim Street explores the struggle to reunify families punished by immigration enforcement, child welfare and justice systems.
FFSJ is a progressive, solution oriented community organization working on the front
lines of racial justice, community healing, trauma-informed care, community re-entry,
and education equity in the City of Stockton, the surrounding San Joaquin Valley and
throughout California.
