East Bay Media Center (EBMC) has been serving the Bay Area community for 40 years, providing youth media education services and training by its Emmy and Peabody Award-winning producers. EBMC is home to one of Northern California’s largest independent film festivals, the Berkeley Video & Film Festival, now in its 29th year, which provides a powerful platform for diverse storytelling and offers a rich array of documentary, narrative, experimental, animated and short films. EBMC is dedicated to providing affordable access to technologies that enhance and empower independent producers, and we serve culturally and socioeconomically diverse youth in our community via our Teen Media Camps, which are held throughout the year. We offer a robust scholarship program that makes it possible for underserved young people to have access to our high-caliber training programs. EBMC serves the East Bay community, UC Berkeley, Berkeley Community College, Berkeley High School, independent producers and other constituents of our city and region.
