The Diamond in the RAW’s (DITR) mission is to empower and transform the lives of foster care and at-risk teen girls between the ages of 12-18 through the Arts & S.T.E.A.M. education. The Diamond in the Raw educates at-risk teens about underexposed arts careers behind the scenes in the entertainment field. The program serves 30 – 40 girls between the ages of 12-18 annually. 80% of the girls reside in South Central Los Angeles (Crenshaw, Leimert Park, and West Adams), some girls travel from Inglewood and as far as East Los Angeles.
