With support from the California Arts Council, DRAA will bring 800 students, teachers, and chaperones from Title 1 schools to see a professional production of A Christmas Carol. A Christmas Carol is presented by Center REPertory Company, the resident professional company at the Lesher Center for the Arts. We are requesting funds to cover the cost of tickets and transportation to one performance in 2018, the most requested performance offered in our season.
Our current programs include:
Artistic Excellence Program: DRAA provides strategic financial support for the LCA’s anchor producers.
Presenting Partners Program: DRAA serves as the 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor to the resident professional organizations.
Arts Access School Time Program: This program provides 100% subsidized arts experiences to children in low income schools.
Chevron Family Theatre Festival: The festival offers families an affordable day of non-stop theater, dance, and music performances along with visual arts activities, both inside and outside the LCA.
DRAA Presents: We presented our eighth season of Jazz at the LCA. DRAA and the LCA presented a 5th season of Summer Sounds Outside@Lesher Center. In February 2020, we will present the fourth annual evening of A Cappella from top colleges including a workshop for high school students on their campuses.
On January 31, 2020, we are presenting Tony Award Winner Laura Benanti to kick-off our new Headliner Series.
