Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, DDSO will work with actor representatives of the Vision Loss, Hearing Loss, and Neuro-Divergent/Developmentally Disabled communities to create and distribute to their peers a film/theatre production using Theatrical Clown technique as a medium for an interpretation of The Odyssey by Homer.
Organization Summary
DDSO runs four multidisciplinary art centers serving Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties, and one life skills program for adults with severe and profound disabilities. Outreach programs include a touring theatre company (The Short Center Repertory), a public art mural project, and an online archive of artists with developmental disabilities.
