With support from the CAC, CCCC, will employ artists to teach mural art and vocational skills in a two-phase program for system-affected youth, providing 48 weeks of lessons. The first teaches foundation of art and business/marketing strategies. The second will support artists in aftercare as they complete community mural art.
Creative Crossing Co-Create is a grassroots organization which provides murals to the public in underserved and underutilized communities with the help of our volunteer artists. Artists are provided paint and supplies for projects. In addition, new artists are mentored by lead artists to design and complete murals. Many artists have never completed a mural before volunteering with Creative Crossing Co-Create. We promote local artists to help them resume build, along with teach them skills to market and network themselves. Finally, we buy art supplies from local vendors to help promote our local economy.
