Organization Summary

CSMA directly serves over 30,000 people annually with the following programs and services:

● Art4Schools and Music4Schools programs provided art and music classes to over 20,000 K-8 students during their school day at more than 50 schools in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties before the pandemic. The in-school programs offer in-depth, skill-building, sequential lessons that meet the California State Visual and Performing Arts Standards. Taught by professional CSMA arts instructors, classes coordinate with each classroom’s curriculum to become an integral part of the school day. We are proud to report that during the 2020-21 school year, over 67% of our partner-schools included our online classes as part of their distance learning curriculum. Nearly half of programs’ students attend schools receiving CSMA program subsidies and would not have access to standards-based arts programs without our support.
● Preschool Programs provide art and music curriculum to children ages 8 months to 5 years old. CSMA serves very young children with art and music programs on campus (439 students) and at three offsite preschools (200 students) in Mountain View. Financial aid is available for the onsite program. The offsite preschools serve predominantly low-income children. The offsite program is highly subsidized by CSMA.

● The Music School provides onsite private lessons, classes and workshops in over 20 instruments.

● The Art School offers a professional quality art studio environment for students of all skill levels and interests.

● The Special Needs Program delivers art, music and dance classes for teens with autism and developmentally disabled adults.

● The Community Concert series brings over 20 free, world-class performances to the public and free art exhibits showcase emerging and established visual artists.

● The Corporate Arts program offers art and music classes and private lessons to over 1,400 high tech employees during their work day.
