Grant funds to bring our community’s vision for a designated California Cultural District to life. The funds will support a series of community forums, an annual Arts Summit, and the creation of an advisory committee. These initiatives are crucial to ensuring local residents, artists, businesses, and arts organizations guide the district’s growth, keeping it community owned and fresh long after the grant is gone. This project will build on the momentum from our arts planning, public art, and community events that celebrate Watsonville’s rich agricultural and multicultural heritage, creating a downtown that is authentic, engaging, and truly driven by the community.
