The City of Temecula owns and operates the Temecula Valley Museum. The mission of the Temecula Valley Museum is to be the premiere center for art and culture in Riverside County by preserving the rich historical past of the Temecula Valley and to provide educational and entertaining programs for both the local population and visitors. The purpose of the Temecula Valley Museum is to preserve, document and showcase the rich heritage of the Temecula Valley and to provide educational opportunities which stimulate curiosity and motivate learning about Temecula’s rich heritage, and to bring interesting traveling exhibits to the Temecula Valley Museum, thereby enriching the lives of the citizenry.
