With support from the California Arts Council, the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center will produce a Diversity Series and Festival that celebrates the cultures and communities that reside in Simi Valley. The Diversity Series and Festival will encourage social harmony in our community through creating understanding of, and appreciation for, cultures that are not represented in current municipal arts programming.
The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center serves as a presentation, production, and rental house for theatrical productions, concerts, and community events. SVCAC produces an average of three to four in house productions a year on the Mainstage and DownStage as well as several concert series and is also available for rent by local arts groups. Its DownStage Cabaret theater functions as a black box venue for lower scale/experimental works as well as a rental space for community events, luncheons, private parties, etc. The facility is also home for art exhibits, youth arts education summer theater camps, youth arts education workshops, community craft fairs, and non-profit and community meetings.
