Choices for Freedom’s core programs are designed primarily to be delivered inside and outside prisons and juvenile detention centers in California to systems impacted adults and youth. Core programs include the Path 2 Restoration arts and humanities curriculum based on work by Maya Angelou, art projects for children with incarcerated parents, healing circles, yoga and mindfulness training, poetry, film making, story telling, and music. Choices is active in the movement to reform the juvenile justice system, to get more rehabilitative and therapeutic services into prisons, and to assist individuals with reentry back into the community.
