Chinatown Community Development Center seeks to build community and enhance the quality of life for San Francisco residents. Chinatown CDC is a place-based community development organization serving the neighborhood for the last 40 years through planning, affordable housing, community engagement, resident services, and youth leadership development. We believe in a comprehensive vision of community that includes a quality environment, healthy neighborhood economies, and active volunteer associations. Chinatown CDC is committed to empowering low-income, immigrant residents, building coalitions, embracing diversity and advocating for social and economic justice. Our efforts involve participants in collaborative and creative processes to reflect on, protect and preserve their neighborhood; consider ways to shape and support Chinatown’s ongoing evolution; and strengthen the connection between people and the places they share.
