Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, The Chimaera Project will support the general operation and administrative expenses incurred with our organization’s mission to provide individuals identifying as women and nonbinary with free and/or low-cost accessible mentoring, art programs and workshops in the artistic fields of media arts and filmmaking.
Organization Summary
1. Mentorship Program: Provides youth and adults mentoring opportunities in front of and behind the camera to ignite and inspire career opportunities in the media arts and film industries.
2. Film and Media Arts Program: Supports artists/filmmakers to see their projects to completion by providing in-kind services, funding and mentorship.
3. Outreach Program: Provides public conversations, workshops and presentations in alignment with our mission to empower artists and filmmakers with the overarching gaol of creating accessible, diverse and equitable projects using film as the artistic vehicle.
