Chapter 510 is a youth writing center made for the youth of Oakland, California. Working side-by-side local educators, our teaching artists and volunteers provide a supportive community and safe spaces for youth aged 6-18 to bravely write and publish their own words. Our mission is to help every young person in Oakland write with confidence and joy because we believe that when kids and teens can confidently express themselves, they are able to transform themselves and their communities for the better.
